Robert John Ferrara

I met RJ shortly after moving to Astoria 5 years ago. Like most have said on this forum, RJ's personality and eagerness to help others made him easy to talk to and great to be around. RJ was there for me during difficult times and I will never forget the heart and compassion he showed me and others in his life. Gone, but never forgotten, "Ya Welcome" my good friend.

I am a little late but when I heard of RJ´s passing I was devastated. Always had a smile on his face and was so genuine and kind. He truly left his mark here on earth. I hope he is resting in paradise.

RJ was my nephew by marriage...I first met him when he was a young teenager and even then, his personality shone. I watched him become an incredibly compassionate, caring adult, always looking for a way to make things better for others and always the person who was there to help, and make you laugh even in stressful times. I am grateful with all my heart that he was in my life and I will love my nephew forever.

Sending my deepest most heartfelt condolences to all who loved RJ! He is and will always be one of the most positive, smiling and genuine people I have been blessed to know. May he be welcomed by our Heavenly Father and rest in a peaceful eternity with purpose beyond our understanding. Sleep well my friend

RJ was a true class act and such a great person. He's pierced our hearts and will miss him dearly. He's not forever gone rather, he's out of town for a while.
