“Thank you very much for those of you who signed the guest book. It is very special to see all these kind words written about our father.
“I worked closely with Bob in the PE department at Presidio in the 1960's. Bob was always helpful and instructive with the kids. He was a quiet leader with the staff as well. And he always was one of the players on the softball team that played the students once per year. His basketball teams were often right at the top each year.
He was a terrific educator who knew the tricks of putting the teacher schedule together each year. He would put in long hours doing so.
Sorry I couldn't...
“Bob was one of my husband Bud's good friend. They played pool every Tuesday nite for many years at the Elks Club.
They also bowled for many years on a
team at Millbrae Bowl. Bud and I also
enjoyed many dinners and good times with Betty and Bob. Bob and Betty
were a very loving couple. Bob
told me one time he Loved the Blessed
Mother very much and prayed a lot to her. I am sure the Blessed Mother has
united Betty and Bob. Lorraine McCloud
“Bob was my academic counselor at Presidio Junior High in San Francisco. He was thoughtful, kind and intelligent. He initiated my getting into Lowell High School, which changed my life for the better. I have fond memories of our visits!
“I only knew Mr. Lustenberger a short time in the Spring of 1965, but I never forgot him or his kindness. I ended up at Presidio after a short stint at St. Ignatius. It was a painful transition and Mr. Lustenberger showed me great consideration. It appears he had a long and good life, and I wish I could have thanked him before his passing.
“On behalf of my father Jack Buick, I'd like to express our sympathy to the family over Bob's passing. As a youngster, I can remember Bob's visits to our house to see my parents and he always seemed to have a smile on his face. He was one of my parent's friends that we kids always enjoyed seeing.
“ Sorry to hear of Bob's passing, he was indeed a gentleman. He was a classmate with my husband at Sacred Heart and they worked together in the SF public schools. He had an impish sense of humor and was delightful.
My sympathies to all the family,
“Jill and family, I am sorry for your loss.
