I served with Bob in the Accounting and Finance office at RAF Alconbury, England. We shared many hours together just talking. I was very aware of his travels and had weekly updates about Inge and the exciting things that he did.

I was stationed at RAF Alconbury the same time as Bob, and knew him during the early 1960s. He was a very interesting person; a genuine gentleman. I had the pleasure talking with him by phone a just a few years ago, after 50+ years! We are pleased he joined our RAF Alconbury website and had the opportunity to recall some memories of days in the Air Force with us. Now his passing saddens us greatly. My condolences to you all during this time of great loss. I will always remember Bob's smile, his kindness toward others, and his genuine interest and concern toward anyone with whom he was having a conversation. I remember how much he loved the North Shore. I enjoyed so much visiting with you both over the years.
