The Wilson family lived across from the brown's on River view drive. They welcomed us to the neighborhood in the early 1950's.Remember all the nice neighborhood pot luck dinner The brown's and us were involved in. Yes Ron I remember you as a high school teacher although I didn't take any of your classes you were wlll known and respected. The boys used to really enjoy shop class as it was known in the 1950's.I remember Glenna especially as she used to teach me cooking treats at christmas. So long Ron rest in peace

Will always remember Ron as a kind neighbor who I first knew when he lived across the street on Riverview Dr. He taught me how to drive a Model T which in the '50s seem like an old car then. Several years ago had the pleasure of learning from him about his blue bird project and of course seeing his continued love of the Model T. Glad to have had the opportunity to know you Ron.

The best teacher I have ever known, In machine shop he taught us to make things I still have the hammer he had me make. I wish he could have been my math teacher.

Mr. Brown was a great friend to my Dad, Richard Hubbard. I remember one project he helped Dad with, a wagon wheel chandelier that still hangs in my parent's home. The glass fixtures are made from gallon apple juice jars that had to be carefully cut. We drank a lot of apple juice while the project was going on because several jars broke in the process. Mr. Brown, like my Dad loved the process, they loved to work and were always thinking about the next project. My thoughts and prayers are with the family I understand what you are going through. “To live in hearts we leave behind
Is not to die.” Thomas Campbell

I will always fondly think of Ron Brown as not only my high school machine shop teacher, but a larger-than-life role model. Ron had a quiet way about him -- when he spoke everyone listened. I recall visiting him a few times after he had "retired" and was working (more than ever) in his home machine shop, where he encouraged me to pick up some metal and craft it into something I would be proud of -- I had the opportunity to watch Ron as he fed his giant Koi in his ponds one day. Ron mentored many of my entrepreneur friends over the years; I am certain their lives, like my own, may not have been as rich as it was without knowing Ron. Ron will be sadly missed.

I will miss my dear father-in-law as I miss my dear husband. I will picture father and son in the great beyond riding in a brass Model-T. I love them both with all my heart.

Ron Brown was the most remarkable man I have ever known. He was kind, intelligent and generous with family and friends. He was an amazing story teller and had a great sense of humor. I loved how he would immerse himself in a project; everything was done fully and completely. I was privileged to be part of his extended family; I regarded his love for his children and grandchildren and I wished that I had known him for much longer. My heart is with Ron's family now - he will be dearly missed.
