Not sure what to say?

We just learned of Russ' passing. For 12 years we lived behind Russ and Nina on Darnel Road in Eden Prairie. We always felt so fortunate to have them as neighbors, they were wonderful people! Russ was always there to help in anyway, both were so friendly and loving, we loved visiting with them. So sorry to hear of his passing.

To Russ's family. My sympathy in the loss of your dad. I knew Russ when I worked with him on the ingredient database. He was a genuine and brilliant man. He always impressed me with his wealth of ingredients after working 40 years at
General Mills. I truly enjoyed getting to know Russ and Nina in their home as they were always most welcoming.

I worked with Russ at General Mills Purchasing for over thirty years. Russ was a great guy, friend and mentor and will truly be missed. My prayers are with the family at this tough time.

I sold food products for Land O' Lakes and Russ was my first business call. He was so kind to me then and all future years. I pray that God will watch over him and the family.

Russ, Margie, Sandy, Ann and all your families: I am very sad to hear Uncle Rusty has passed, not only because he was such a fun and loving man and I have so many good memories of him, but also because I didn't stay in touch with him as I should have. I remember so many fun things from when Uncle Rusty and Aunt Nina and all would visit us when I was a child. I also remember how much kindness and love he showed my son as he was growing up. And his annual letters bringing me up to date on...

Learning of Mr. Bockstedt's passing brought memories of the early 1960's when I spent a lot of hours at the Bockstedt house with my friend Margie. The home was always welcoming thanks to both of Margie's nice parents. I remember Mr B. taking neighbor kids to Twins games and many rides to Shady Oak to swim. Mr. B. was a tease and bemoaned that I admitted to doctoring Betty Crocker cake mixes with my own additions.
It takes a nice man to be kindly remembered by a neighbor kid fifty...

Dear dear cousins, I can't tell you how much Uncle Russ means to me. From his and Aunt Ninas caring of me as a young girl, I staid with you all after my family returned to Buffalo, we went to a dinner theater it was so cool. And more recently my girls andI came to Minn and again his kindness overflowed on us, dinner of fish at his new home and dinner out and just hanging with my dear Uncle. I am sorry i did not get to see him more recently. He is always going to be a most precious...

I first met Russ when Nina began attending our day program, Prairie Adult Care. Russ volunteered for many years at the center after Nina passed away. He was always my "connecting person" to help coordinate friends together at Summit Place for events. Russ shared his pride of his family with me through stories and hundreds of photos! I will miss his grace and good sense of humor.

I was sorry to learn "Mr. B" had passed away. I have many fond memories of entire Bockstedt family, many that I have shared with my family. I hope the happy memories will bring you peace and smiles in the days ahead.
