Not sure what to say?

Ruth and Carter were dear friends of my aunt and uncle, Anna and Ed Schaefer and my parents, Jimmie and Buddy Lackey. I recall fondly their visits to our place at Smith Mountain Lake. Ruth was most kind to Anna after Ed's passing and a wonderful lady. I know you will all miss her; my condolences. Nancy Lackey

I enjoyed Mrs. Glass as a guide through Popular Forest. What a delightful lady she was.

Alex, I am sorry for the loss of your Grandmother. I know you will miss her, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

With Deepest Sympathy,

Temby Lloyd

I enjoyed getting to know Mrs. Glass. She was a warm, caring lady and always made me feel so comfortable in her presence. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Ruth was a gem of a person with a heart as big as all outdoors. She was a stalwart volunteer at Poplar Forest for many years and enriched my time there with her presence and generosity. My thoughts are with her family which she loved so much.

She lived a long, active life and told great stories. I'll remember the warmth of her home at holidays. Lots of love from California. Wishing we could be there with you all -- P.J., Carter, and Hadley

Scott, So sorry to hear about Ruth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Nancy and Luther

Mrs. Glass was one of the nicest and most classy ladies that I ever met. She was a friend for many years. I will miss her and my thoughts and prayers are with her entire family. All of her family are very special friends and I also feel their loss.
