“PRAYER TO A CORPSMAN
THE WORLD FORGETS ITS HEROES.
HONORS, GALLANTRY AND VALOR ARE JUST TRINKETS, WHEREVER MERE MORTALS DWELL.
WE HAVE GATHERED TODAY TO SAY FAREWELL TO SHAUN DEWAYNE ANGELLY.
A FALLEN CORPSMAN, A SON, A BROTHER, A WARRIOR.
IN HIS LASTING SLEEP, WITH BRIGHT BANNERS FLYING PROUDLY, AND COMRADES HAVING SPOKEN OF PAST EPICS.
YOUR BROTHERS ONCE AGAIN RENEW THEIR PLEDGE TO LOYAL WARRIORS.
"YOU HAVE NOT DIED IN VAIN."
“" Shaun, you know what you meant to me. "Friends don't let friends drive drunk." "Friends make you feel better when you are down." A brother is going to tell you when you are wrong; a brother will help you be the best that you can be. You were more than Sailor, you were more than a friend. You are my Brother." Rest easy Gelly. I love you man!
“Gelly, You will be missed bother and friend. God has opened his arms to you and I know you will be waiting for all of us to one day meet again. You were truly a blessing to have known and live with.
“Shaun was a just a wonderful human being. I met him at camp Pendlton when he was at the main hospital. I was far from any family i knew but, shaun and some other guys from the barracks made me feel like i had my family right there everyday. Shaun will remain my extended military brother for life. My deepest sympathies to his family. I am very sorry verry sorry.
