Not sure what to say?

My Sincere Condolences to the "El Rubo" Family. We went to William Penn, worked in the Harrisburg School District , played basketball and socialized together. His locker room humor and wit were notorious. I fondly remember Him taking my ticket at the Uptown Theater, again, always showing that humor and wit. When visiting Phoenix in the early 70's, there was "El Rubo," already a legend. The memories are sweet. He was a People Person. His influence will go On. God Bless Stan "El Rubo" Rubinsky.

I am so sorry to hear about the tragic passing of Stanley Rubinsky. Nobody outside of my family influenced me more than El Rubo. From the time I was in elementary school, Stanley served as a mentor to me. He (and Rodger Goodling) taught me so much about the basics of basketball which has played such a prominent role in my life. I have often tried to pass on his wisdom to other young people. El Rubo was a great teacher. He also taught me the virtues of work, humility, respect, and competition...

Dear friends,
Thanks for the kind words. Stan was my greatest friend in the world. We talked on the phone 4 to 7 times a week for over 35 years.
Stan was the nicest guy in the world. No touch of any self serving.
Talented athlete, brilliant genious. One of the worlds best scrabble players (in the hall of fame). On jeoprody two times. Great athlete. Teacher of the year. Received his doctorate degree just a fews months ago. Won more championships than any person I have ever...

I was so sorry to hear of Stan's passing, although I did not personally know him I've know David for many years. My heartfelt sympathies to the entire family.

Stan was one of the most personable and versatile person I have ever known. He was a good friend and inspiration to all who knew him. Stan will be missed and may God rest his soul peacefully.

El Rubo is the reason I live in Phoenix.I travelled around the USA with my cousins Carl and Howard Rachelson and we stopped to visit Stan for a week.I fell in love with Phoenix and eventually decided to move there from Harrisburg.Stan let me stay with him until I got established and I will never forget his kindness and generosity. We had great times playing hoops and spades, working at the North Bank restaurant, cruisin around in his van listening to the latest tunes, catchin rays by the pool(El...
