Steven Carpenter Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 7, 2016.
Steven R. Carpenter, 38, of Mt. Upton left this world on July 3, 2016 with the love of his life, Katelynn Coville, doing what he loved, riding his motorcycle.

Steve was born on December 28, 1977 in Kingston, NY the son of Frederick Carpenter and Kathleen Grover. He grew up in the Mt. Upton area and was a 1996 graduate of the Gilbertsville-Mt. Upton School. Steve was currently employed by Upstate Construction of Mt. Upton where he had worked for several years.

Steve was without question a man who was all about his children. He enjoyed his family time and would give you the shirt of his back. He was a quiet, hard worker who always had other people's best interest at heart. Steve enjoyed his "toys" which were cars, trucks and motorcycles.

He will not only be missed by his family but by his co-workers at Upstate Companies and several close friends.

Steve is survived by his children who he loved dearly, Jenna and Zachary Carpenter, his mom and step-dad Kathleen & Michael Tiffany, his father Frederick Carpenter all of Mt. Upton, his paternal grandmother Ruth Dunn, sisters Christine Wolfe & husband Sean of NH, Jamie Carpenter of Vestal and his brother Nathan Tiffany and fiancée Kaylie Beckwith of Mt. Upton. Also surviving are his nieces & nephews, Xander & Isaac Wolfe, Zohie & Evrin Johnston and Elizabeth Rose Tiffany, the mother of his son Chasity Viele of Mt. Upton along with Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Katelynn's family.

A joint funeral service for Steve & Katie will be held on Monday, July 11, at 10:00 am from the Calvary Baptist Church of Norwich. The Rev. Thanna Howell will officiate. Interment will follow in the Butternut Cemetery of Gilbertsville.

Friends may call at the R.J.Fahy Funeral Home on Sunday from 1-3 & 5-7.
