Not sure what to say?

I am saddened to learn of the death of my fellow University of Georgia student Susan Gibson. Susan was an extremely bright young woman whose patience, kindness, and wisdom I will remember always.

I was saddened by the news of her passing. I treasure the time we spent together at USA. She was a great supervisor and associate.

Dear Family -
I am just now learning about Susan. I can't tell you how my heart is broken. I met Susan when she came to Missouri during her Vet School years as a summer intern. We immediately became friends. Since I was older than most of the post doc students, they all starting calling me "Mom," and I loved it. Susan was one of my 'kids' and I loved her! She stayed at my home many times and we always had fun, although some times she could drive you nuts! I could tell you so...

Dr.G
You will be missed. I was blessed to have worked beside her for many years. May God Bless her Family in this time of need.

Can't wait to see you again in heaven Aunt Susan!

The University of South Alabama family is so sorry to hear of Susan's death. Susan was a learned colleague, a wonderful teacher, and a better friend. She had a mind like a trap and could remember facts from presentations and papers from literally decades ago; she was extraordinary in this respect and we respected her enormously for her enthusiasm and interest in our mutual studies. She cared deeply about her work as a veterinarian and cared even more deeply about those of us who help in...

I first met Susan when I was working in the animal behavior lab at the University of Georgia. Whenever we needed a vet we had to place a call to the main campus. Susan was the first to drop whatever she was doing and head right out to the lab. She would always share her comprehensive knowledge of veterinary medicine with any and all interested students. For years she was my go to person when I had questions regarding any aspect of veterinary medicine. She taught me a great deal about...

I was blessed to have the opportunity to work with Susan beginning in the late 1970's. Susan had a way of making those she worked with better people. She was generous with her time and talents always willing to help others. She was a gifted person both in art and science. She will be remembered and missed by those of us who knew her.

To the family of Dr. Susan Gibson:

I have known Susan since we were both residents, Susan at Missouri and me at Wakeforest. She was was my colleague and frequent collaborator in the Department of Comparative Medicine at the University of South Alabama. Susan was blessed with an exceptional combination of intellect and curiosity that made me highly value her advice on our work. Her review on a manuscript could be counted upon to improve that work and her knowledge of the...
