Susan and I were friends in elementary school and junior high. My earliest memory of Susan was battling against her in second grade at the chalk board to see who could correctly answer math problems the fastest. She was so bright and such a competitor. We also were in a play together in 6th grade(the Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare). She played Kate and I was Petruchio...seemed like we had thousands of lines to memorize. Her performance was magnificient. However, riding my bike over to her house on Cottonwood Street to talk about the details of our lives at that young age is by far my fondest memory. She was an amazing person and kind friend. I wish we had stayed in touch so she could tell me about her husband and children as well as her sisters. I deeply regret that I never had the chance to tell her about my family (my wife Rosalia and four boys Bronson (age 11), Ronin (9), Donovan (5), and Broderick (2). If there is a heaven then she is surely there. My condolences to her family, especially her mom who was so kind to me when I was a young man.

Kevin, John and I were so sad to hear of Susan's passing. She was so beautiful and full of life. Each time we had the opportunity to dine with the two of you at AWRF, I would always leave thinking how amazingly lovely Susan was inside and out. We will be praying for your strength and peace.
