Not sure what to say?

Tad was a man who cared for those he served alongside. Be encouraged. God is more gracious and capable than our circumstances would have us believe.

To Tad's family
Tad was my roomate while we were deployed in Basra. He made me laugh and he made us all laugh and that may be enough in war zone. Not a day goes by that I do not have at least one thought of Tad. I can not explain that so I simply accept it. He is not forgotten.

To the family of Maj. Tad T. Hervas:

As you may know, the Fort Snelling Memorial Chapel Foundation has honored your loved one at its Memorial Day Sunday worship service (each year in May) … since the time of your fallen hero's ultimate sacrifice. We will continue to pay tribute to our nation's veterans … lest we ever forget!

Now we would like to honor you … as the next-of-kin … who have also paid a great price on the altar of liberty. On Sunday 29 September...

In memory & honor of Major Tad Hervas. We will always be grateful to him for his devoted service to our country. He was a good man who made the ultimate sacrifice.

I heard about his death that morning. I continue to miss him and his huge smile. He always had good things to say and never a bad word. I know your hearts are heavy as this holiday season continues without Tad and Ned but know they are together in a far better place. I will always keep you all in my...

Please accept my remembrance of Tad on the anniversary of his passing and know that he will never be forgotten.

8 March 2008, Wonju Korea

To the family of MAJ Tad Hervas: I've uploaded a picture of Tad receiving recognition from the First ROK Army Commanding General at the conclusion of Exercise KEY RESOLVE 2008. I only met Tad at that exercise, but worked closely with him each day for two weeks. He was a truly professional and gifted officer. I remember him today, on the anniversary of his passing. I was proud to have stood in this line with him
