Not sure what to say?

I have just found out about your loss -- I'm shocked and very sad.

I was a close friend of Tamela's in the early 1990s; I lived next door to her in Inwood; and visited her once in Maine in 1994, when I met Betty at Thanksgiving. We kept track of each other; I last saw her in 2009 when she came down to New York to attend Jim Carroll's funeral.

There's nothing I can say except that Tamela was/is an important part of my life; and that I will miss her greatly.

I remember Tamela from the early 90's. She was an amazing artist and singer. My band performed with hers around Halloween one year and I'll never forget her amazing performance. She was a truly talented person. We are all lucky to have shared in her life in some small way. My condolences to her family and close friends.

I will miss Tamela...I was her one of her first mentors in massage therapy..she helped me create a video about yoga & massage when I was recovering from my own accident by being hit by a car...it helped me heal alot...I'll never forget her creativity , beauty & spark.

I'm so sorry for our loss..

I want to express my deep sadness , shock and sincere condolences to Tamela'a Family as well as to all who knew Tamela . I was lucky to have experienced her many gifts and can't express how deeply she touched me and helped me to open so many doors to a better life
She was a gift to all who were lucky enough to have had her in our lives no matter how briefly
I trust she is still watching over those she cared about and cared for she touched so many in so short a life I will...

To Tamela's Family...I just learned of the loss of Tamela to this world...she was a talented young woman who shared her heart and compassion with so many...as her Reiki Master Teacher, I was privileged to share in her healing gift...she touched so many souls in her all too short a time with us...animals and humans alike are fortunate to have experienced and benefited from her beautiful heart...may her spirit be an inspiration to us all...may her candle forever shine!

Dear Betsy, It was with sadness and disbelief that I read about Tamela's passing. I met with her for therapeutic treatment. How kind and gentle she was, so reminiscent of you when a teacher of our children at Asa Adams. Please know that my family sends their condolences.

Dear Mrs. Glenn, I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter. I worked with Tamela at Penobscot Theatre and enjoyed her wonderful spirit and talent on the stage. She touched so many people's lives and I am grateful that she touched mine. With love,

Mrs Glenn,

I am deeply saddened to hear about Tamala's passing. She was such a passionate creative person. I'll never forget the play she wrote for my six grade class at Asa C Adams. My heart, thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Mrs. Glenn and Family,
Please know that the beauty and brilliance that was Tamela will be remembered by me, and by both my sons, for the rest of our lives. She gave the gift of theater to Joe and Sam, and rescued them at a time when their lives were in an upheaval... and by helping them, she rescued me as well. Tamela was the most luminous human being I have ever known, and I always saw her as part faerie queen. Her lightness, her quickness, her beautiful voice, and her elusiveness....
