TAYLOR MARCUM Obituary
TAYLOR "POPPY" MARCUM, 70, passed away on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. Born in Manchester, Ky., he was a Real Estate entrepreneur for many years. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran; a talented singer and musician; an avid fisherman; and a great husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Patricia Marcum of LaOtto; sons, Don E. Marcum and Taylor Marcum III, both of Fort Wayne; daughters, Sally T (Eduardo) Perez of Fishers, Ind. and Joyce A (Tony E) Miller of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren; brother, Lloyd (Frances) Marcum; sisters, Heaster (Manard) Lawson and Anna Lee (Clifford) Batt; brothers, John (Edna) Marcum, Milton (Sandra) Marcum and Teddy (Pauline) Marcum; and stepsister, Bonnie Mills. He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor Sr. and Sallie Marcum. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior.Calling also from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 11, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial is 1 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, in Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, Ill. Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project. We had a special relationship - I will always remember your supporting advice, your fatherly talks, and your big comforting hugs. You were so special to me and I loved you dearly....
