“Tom was a great man & an exceptional umpire. He enjoyed razzing me at shortstop & when I was at the plate to bat. I have many childhood memories with Tom during High School Softball! He will be missed!!
“"Larger than life" is a good description of Tom for sure. I will always have fond memories of him. Sorry for your loss Kathy.
“Kathy and Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. What a great man. My girls played in a lot of softball games that Tom umpired and they always admired and enjoyed him behind the plate. I one game, Erin was catching and she was having trouble with Kendra Kosco's funky knuckle ball dropper. After Tom was hit by several pitches that got past Erin, he said, "Muggsy, could stop one of them just once in a while?" Funny, funny man.
