“I remember Uncle Wayne most when he was stationed at Fort Jackson doing his basic training. He would visit often when he could leave the base and play with Leonard and I. He was just like a big kid to us. He will be missed. Our sympathy to Frances and the girls.

“Wayne was a wonderful person. I am so glad we got to know him. Paul and Shelby Snyder.
“I came to know Wayne as a friend and brother in Christ during my time as a member of Woodland Baptist Church. We had good times of fellowship when I was bowling on the "Heaven Bound" bowling team. I have not seen Wayne or Frances since I moved to Rutherfordton NC, 2-1/2 years ago, but I still remember him as a good friend and my brother in Christ. To Frances and family, I am praying for you in this time of great loss. Take comfort in knowing that Wayne is now in Heaven with our Lord...
“Joe and I are thinking about you during this difficult time. Please know you and your family are in prayers. Wayne was a special person and we will miss seeing him at bowling with you.
