Not sure what to say?

Cara, just read about this in the paper last night. So sorry to hear of your loss. You and your family are in my prayers.

Tracy and Family,
I will certainly miss comming to your home and enjoying watching our beloved Hokies with your Dad. What a trooper. We also enjoyed watching some Redskins games with him as Well !! GO HOKIES - GO SKINS. The stories Vaughn would tell and the patience he had with all us wild Sigma Nu's as we were comming home from Va Tech to visit was so cool . The Sigma Nu Golf tournaments, Wow - Vaughn always enjoyed that. He will be missed and he is now at Home completely at...

Van,please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Dianne Foster St. John (JRT Class of '70 classmate)

I had the pleasure of working with Vaughan at WalMart for many years. He always had a joke or something funny to say as we walked through the backroom. He was true friend when I needed someone to talk to and get advice. He was an honest and loyal employee. My daughter and son-in-law used to bowl with him on Friday nights years ago. I had the great honor of working with Vaughan at Wal*Mart under the management of Ken Ernst. Vaughan exemplifies what you hope your son will turn out to be like or that your daughter will be so blessed to marry.
He was the smartest, kindest, best natured person. I met Mary at several different functions when I was there and she was as lovely as well.
After I left I often went back and would get someone to get him to come to the door just to say hi.
I am sure Heaven rejoyced...

Keeping the family in my thoughts and prayers, Donald you had a great father who lived a wonderful life.
