Not sure what to say?

I use to attend church with Velta and she was one of the sweetest, kindest ladies I ever knew. Her life truly exemplified Jesus!

Teresa I know there will be a void in your life because there is noone lke your mother. May god bless you all and bring you peace at this time. You will always have your memories cherish them.Love you.

Today we lost someone we can't live without, our heart's will be badly broken, the bad news is that we will never completely get over the loss of our beloved Velta. When we look at the beautiful quilts and remember how much love was put into it.Velta will live forever in our broken heart's that doesn't seal back up.We will miss you

a light for my grandmother

my grandmother was one of the stringest people that I will ever know, she always thought of others before herself, she raised her children to be independent people of their own, now each of them have the same trait in them that she had, I got to talk to her a few weeks ago when she first came back to Roanoke, she never once said anything about her she only wanted to know how my family was doing and to make sure that I kissed the grandboys for her, ofcourse we are all very heartbroken from this...

Toni, There's no one like momma! Gods blessings on you and your family. Thankfully you have good memories to focus on. Please take care of yourself now and stay healthy.

Velta was so thoughtful, sending cards, calling, visiting the sick, always smiling & praying. A very dedicated christian lady and loved GLBC and was loved & will be missed by all her church family, friends and her family that she loved dearly. We are so thankful and have precious memories of her many visits with both of us at Carrington Place. We loved her dearly & will miss her but thankful she is not suffering now. Praying for her family. R.I.P. sweet lady

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Velta was such a precious lady. Her faith in God and the love she had for her Heavenly Father made her an inspiration to us all at Gospel Light Baptist Church. I will miss her a great deal as I am sure all of her church family and family will.
I don't think we ever did find our Maxey connection but it was a good conversation point for us. Velta's smiles and kindness were always abundant.
I thank Jesus Christ for my salvation and know that...

Velta will be missed. I enjoyed working with her at the TA when she worked there and enjoyed being with her at the TA gang get together luncheons at Country Cooking in Troutville. May God Bless you all in this time of sorrow. My thoughts & prayers are with you & the family.
