            Verna E. Groff, formerly of Perkasie, PA, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Brookdale, Dublin, PA.  She was 90.


            She was the wife of the late Theodore H. Groff who died April 8, 2008.


            Born in Pipersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late O. Arthur and Hazel (Furness) Myers.  She was a 1945 graduate of Doylestown High School, Doylestown, PA.


            Mrs. Groff was a homemaker and an avid gardener.  She enjoyed sewing and playing “Pinochle” with a local card club group. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Sellersville, PA, where she sang in the Church Choir.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.


            She is survived by four children, Terry D. Groff and his wife Betsy, of Souderton, PA, Tim E. Groff and his wife Lori, of Harleysville, PA, Kent L. Groff and his wife Linda, of Quakertown, PA, and Kay G. Freed and her husband Jay, of Perkasie; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris E. Myers, of Perkasie.


            Her Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 27, 2017, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 104 Green Street, Sellersville, PA, where family and friends may call Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in the Upper Tinicum Cemetery, Tinicum Township, PA.


            Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, 399 Market Street, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA  19106.


            Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie.

            The Family would like to thank the Staff at Brookdale Dublin for the excellent and loving care that they provided.
