Walter Ray Adkins, age 73, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 24, 2010, in a local nursing home.
Mr. Adkins was born January 21, 1937, in Miller County, Arkansas, and had been a lifetime resident. He was a member of Victory Temple Pentecostal Church and was a retired logger. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include one brother, Horace Adkins of Paris, Texas, three sisters, Doris Collins of Texarkana, Arkansas, Alline Williamson of Texarkana, Texas, and Sandra Purdy of Texarkana, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday at Harmony Grove Cemetery with Rev. Bill Chaney officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
