“Vaughnette, I was truly sadden to hear of Wendell's passing. The last time that I saw him was after my sister's funeral(2009).He came over to my brother's house ( Richard and Pearl-your next door neighbors). He brightened up the day and made me smile as we talked about the days at Dudley(class of 62')and caught up on what had happened since that time.I will never forget how he so willingly shared that time with my family and I.Each time we lose someone in our lives,we gain more...
“Vaughnetta and family,
You are in my thoughts and prayers today, and for days to come, as you celebrate the wondeful life of Wendell. Know that all of the beautiful memories and God's grace will sustain you.
Last October, Wendell noticed from our class of "62" list that we shared the same birth month. Gracious man that he was, he called and wished me a happy 65th year. I cherish that call, as one of the beautiful memories of him.
