Not sure what to say?

Dear Bierden family,

One of the first people I met at CMS in 1987 was Bill and for the next 15 years he was always right next to me, encouraging me to add technology to my pedagogy. I will always remember his great laugh and easy way of living. Even though I have not seen Bill for 10 years now, I often think of him..this morning is a case in point. In my new teaching job, I have to use a new program and I immediately thought of Bill, went to Atomic learning to see what help it...

I am so very sorry to learn of "Mr. Bierden's" passing. I had him as a 6th grade teacher in the early 70's and I will never forget him. He always remembered me when I would run into him, and he genuinely cared about what was happening in my life and of other students he knew. In later years, I worked for an educational company and our paths crossed again, and also when my daughter attended Eden Prairie. He made a positive impact in my life. He led by example and was a favorite. ...

Bill was my 6th grade teacher in 1977. My dad died at the end of the school year. I remember him giving me a big hug when I cam back to school. It meant a lot. I remember feeling like he really cared about me and the rest of his students. He was a great teacher and a nice man. I am so sorry for your loss.

I met Bill through his wife, my dear friend "Clance" who was my classmate at Cathedral High. I know what a wonderful man he was who will be missed by all.

I didn't work with Bill very long but I always will remember his infectious laugh and energy that seemed to come from another planet. While he left the world too soon, he lived fully.

Bill was one of the very nicest friends I had when we were college students at MSU. We were both elementary ed majors. Bill was fun, kind, and always had that wonderful smile.
To Bill's family: God bless you; and treasure your many sweet memories.

Dear family,
I was an intructional technology colleague of Bill's for over 25 years. At conferences and workshops, Bill's sessions were the ones everyone wanted to attend. He was always up on the latest technologies. He already had it figured out what would be useful to students and helpful to teachers. He was always willing to share what he knew and eager to plant a new idea in your head. He had humor and
grace which he often had a chance to demonstrate when his system would crash...

Bills smile was infectious. His attitude was always upbeat and remarkable. He did teach us to live each day with love, laughter and a positive attempt to make things better. Our sympathy to Marilyn and all of Bills family. May God be with you in these sad days.

I was very lucky to have worked at the same school, Oak Point, as Bill. He always had something to say and most the time it was a funny story. He always had us laughing.
I am so sorry to hear about Bill. Knowing he is in a better place doesn't make it any easier for his family. I will have you all in my thoughts and prayers during these difficult times.
