Not sure what to say?

My sincere condolences to the family on the death of my long-time special "boss" and friend.

I was fortunate to be a Committee Clerk for the Senate Committee on Education and learned so much from Sen. Hopkins. He was a true gentleman and a wonderful Democrat. Samuel T. Crockett, III (formerly of Pulaski)

My thoughts are with the family at this time of loss. Billy was a great man and he will be missed.

Dear Marshall and Jeff and Ginny,

My sister Beth sent me your dad's obituary, Marshall and I just wanted to send our sincerest condolences. He was certainly an accomplished man and I loved that he played bridge up to and including the day he passed. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers the next few days. Sincerely, Meg Catanzarita and family

He was a great man - very accomplished, but humble, truly authentic. He was a great mentor to me as a young lawyer. I will always appreciate the lessons learned from him.

Memories of a great man who made a difference. Blessings to the family.

On occasion I interviewed Senator Hopkins as a reporter for WROV 1240 am and WSLS TV 10 during the 70s. A very candid and gracious man. My condolences to the Hopkins family. Paul J Houston Jr

Virginian's remember the historic place the Senator holds in politics and community service. But we know too, when he was young, his generation saved the world.

Great man will alway be remember.
