Condolences and best wishes to all of you, you have lost a great lady, a strong Scot. I am Bob Davidson. What a fluke it was that I saw your mother's obit. in the National Post last Saturday as I rarely read the obits.. My wife , Marie Davidson (nee Chick) was an RN at the Canadian Chemical plant with Scotty for 5-6 years. That is where I met her and we married in 1955. Scotty and Ida were at our wedding of course. We kept in touch with even after Marie quit to have our family. We then moved to Vancouver and lost touch with them until they moved to Castellar where we visited them a couple of times. We also visited them in Duncan a couple of times. Your parents were the greatest people. Marie and I met some of you at their house in Edmonton. I think James & Doug and possibly Maryann. I hope you may remember us. I lost Marie January 2 this year which also happened to be our daughter Kathleen's 52nd birthday. Happy memories have kept popping up ever since I saw the Obit, and there so many. Whatever prompted you to put it in the National Post. I am so glad you did and I know you are reminiscing on the good times too at this sad time.
Love to you all, Bob

To all the Elliot family:
You are in my thoughts and prayers. I didn't even know your mother's first name until now: she was always Mrs. Elliot to me. A wonderful lady. She touched the lives of many.
My last visit with her was in Duncan, about 10 years ago when Dad and I stopped to have coffee with her. She was the soul of hospitality.
Shalom
