Bob was born in Trinidad, West Indies and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1965. He worked in the mines in Port McNeill before moving to Nanaimo. Bob set his roots in Nanaimo and commuted to Port Alberni, where he worked as a welder for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of Moose. Bob enjoyed Country-Western music and dancing. "Country Bob" was an amazing dancer and a sharp dresser. He loved the adventure of travel and made trips to the Caribbean and South America. Bob also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and fishing. He will be missed on the dance floor and in our hearts. Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses in the NRGH Palliative Care Unit.
