Dawn "Chris" McChristian Obituary
McChristian, Dawn "Chris" Age 62, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1984, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2014 surrounded by the love of her family. She was born August 29, 1951 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. Chris was preceded in death by her father, Ken Ankli. She is survived by her beloved husband of 37 years, David McChristian; her loving sons, Jason McChristian of St. Joseph, MI, Wesley (Kelsey) McChristian of Rolling Meadows, IL and Lucas McChristian of Peoria, IL; her adoring mother, Dawn Ankli of St. Joseph, MI; her dear brothers, Ken (Ann Miller) Ankli of Stevensville, MI, Todd (Connie) Ankli of St. Joseph, MI; and sister, Sherry (Dr. David) Larson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends. Chris was raised in St. Joseph, MI and was a graduate of Michigan State University (1973). She taught high school biology at New Port, Kentucky public schools for six years, and lived in Cincinnati, OH from 1976 until 1984. A lover of Christ, Chris was an active member of Naperville Presbyterian Church. For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Chris' life, memorials to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be today, Friday, August 15, 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 16 at 10:00 a.m. at Naperville Presbyterian Church, 943 Sanctuary Dr., Naperville, with Pastor Chris Hodge officiating.
