Hugh Flanders Obituary
Flanders, Hugh 88 - "Semper Fi" of Naperville, passed away on January 22, 2014. He was born in Newton, MA to the late Mary Alice and Alvan Flanders on October 15, 1925. Hugh served in the United States Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII. After the war Hugh graduated from Newton High School and Babson College. He spent his entire business career working for International Harvester, retiring as Vice President of Agricultural Sales in 1982. Hugh was devoted to his family and friends. He had a 63 year love affair with his wife Marjorie. He was a member of the Cress Creek Country Club. His passions were gardening and golf and watching the whales in Maui. Hugh is survived by his daughter, Deborah (John) McCloskey; son, Hugh (Sandi); daughter, Donna (Chris) Lanoue; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be private. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for him during his illness. In lieu of flowers donations to the (225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601) will be appreciated.
