Donna Miller Thibault, of Naples and Reston, VA, died of cancer on Saturday, December 24, 2011 at Avow Hospice in Naples.
Donna was born on July 31, 1942 in Washington, DC, the daughter of William and Angela Miller.
She received her undergraduate degree in Accounting, as well as an MBA, from the University of Maryland. She was a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Investment Planner in the state of Virginia.
Donna's professional career included 25 years of federal service as a Director of Investigative Support at both the IRS and the General Services Administration.
In 1991, she formed Donna Miller Associates, CPA Firm in Reston, VA; presently that firm is Miller/Musmar CPA's, the 24th largest CPA firm in the greater Washington, DC area.
Donna was past President and currently treasurer of the Reston Chamber of Commerce.
She currently sits on several boards, including as a Director of Main Street Bank in northern VA.
Donna has been involved with and offered support to numerous public services and charity organizations in Reston such as Emory Rucker Shelter and surrounding areas in northern Virginia.
She is survived by her husband Mike, most recently Co-Chair and Commissioner of the Congressional Commission on Wartime Contracting in Iraq and Afghanistan and currently an executive with DynCorp International.
She is also survived by her daughter, Angela Cunningham, a nationally recognized artist working out of the Mud Flats Studio in Boston; and her son, Jason Cunningham, a business owner living in Alpharetta, GA with his wife, Jenny, and their daughter, Alicia. Donna's brother, Rick Miller and his wife, Pat reside in both Pine Island, FL and Myrtle Beach, SC.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, FL 34109.
There will also be a Memorial Service in early January in Reston, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Donna's memory may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.
