Amos S. Marshall Naples, FL
Amos S. Marshall, 43, of Naples, FL, passed away on April 17, 2013 at home with his wife by his side. He was born in 1969, and moved to the Everglades in 1973 from Northern California where he was a member of the Hupa/Yurok American Indian Tribes.
He lived most of his life in Naples, and graduated from Barron Collier High School. Amos's multi-faceted work in the swimming pool industry led him to his employment as a Project Manager for Nassau Pools. He was well- known for his infectious 'Famous Amos' laugh, which drew people in and won over many friends. He was interested in horticulture, landscaping projects and was also an avid Texas Hold 'Em Poker player. Some of his fondest memories were of spending time with his favorite aunties in Northern California, enjoying nature, and traveling out west with his wife, Megan.
Amos will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 15 years, Megan Marshall; mother, Stephanie Whittington and her husband, Jack Whittington; brother, Sam Marshall; and nephew, John Amos Marshall; as well as his beloved dogs (fur babies), Penny and Katie.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 (TOMORROW)from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., at the Fuller Funeral Home Chapel on Pine Ridge Road in Naples. The memorial ceremony will begin at 3:00 p.m., in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in honor of Amos be sent to American Indian Education Foundation, P.O. Box 118, Elkwood, VA 22718.
