Gertrude (Trudy) A. Gerbich, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2016 at Avow Hospice in Naples, FL.
Trudy was employed as a secretary at The Child Study Institute in Toledo, Ohio for 25 years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Naples.
Trudy was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Gerbich and Howard Cox; her son, Howard Cox, Jr.; daughter, Kathleen Eff; sister, Mary Heft; grandson, Joseph Cox; and parents, Joseph and Julia Morrissey. She is survived by her son, James (Bilynda) Cox of Bonita Springs; step-daughter, Linda Stevens of Toledo, OH; 7 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A gathering of friends and family will be on Thursday, April 28th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Rd., Naples. Inurnment will be in Ohio at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Trudy's name may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105. For online condolences, please visit fullernaples.com.
