William B. Korstad Naples, FL

William B. Korstad, 97, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2013 in Naples, FL.

Bill was born in Thief River Falls, MN on July 1, 1916. His father, Pet er William Korstad, was an entrepreneur and his mother, née A. Blanche Godward, a teacher and Dean of Woman at the High School where Bill graduated. Bill attended Macalester College and William Mitchell Law School becoming an attorney in Minneapolis and St. Paul MN. At Macalester he met his wife, Dorothy of 65 years. William and Dorothy married on June 27, 1943. World War II sent Bill to Europe and Battle of the Bulge. After the war Bill and Dorothy made their home in Falcon Heights and then North Oaks, MN. Bill practiced law and was active in commercial real estate development. They enjoyed traveling to China, Portugal, Europe and the Caribbean. When they retired Bill and Dorothy moved to Naples, FL. He enjoyed sports, golfing, mystery novels, and crossword puzzles.

Survived by daughter, Beverly (Jonathan) Tomhave; son, Stephen W. (Rachel) Korstad; grandchildren, Anna Tomhave Guerrero, Will Tomhave, Debbi Korstad (fiancé Jake Kettwig), and David Korstad; great-granddaughter, Adrianna. He will be dearly missed.

A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, November 14th (TOMORROW), from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.with a service starting at 5:00 p.m. at Fuller Funeral Home, 1625 Pine Ridge Road, Naples, FL 34109.
