Marie Fragnito Naples, FL
Marie Fragnito went to be with her Creator on May 26, 2014. Born in Brooklyn, NY on August 1, 1913 to the late Alexander and Jennie Yannotti, she was the eldest of five siblings who all predeceased her. On October 11, 1936 she married Anthony Fragnito and they continued to reside in Brooklyn until 1972 when they moved to Naples.
Marie worked tirelessly for family and friends throughout her life. She was an avid seamstress who designed and sewed numerous bridal gowns; designed and made the new habit for the Franciscan Sisters of our Lady of Loretto School, which habit was eventually accepted and implemented by that religious order.
She designed and made baby gowns for stillborn babies at Naples Hospital and gave freely of her talents to keep her friends and acquaintances wardrobes intact. Marie volunteered at the Rosary Society, The Knights of Columbus and the Naples Hospital Gift Shop. She was an employee of Fabric Mart in Naples for 17 years.
Marie is survived by her three children, Vincent (Lois) Fragnito, of New Bern, NC; Alexander (Martha) Fragnito, of Bronxville, NY and Mary Jo (Peter) Borysevicz of Mastic Beach, NY; along with 10 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Our family celebrates her deep Christian faith and is forever grateful to her.
