Louis V. Rohr of Naples, Florida peacefully passed away on December 31, 2015 at the age of 99 "and a half".

He is reunited with his beloved wife of 52 years Anna, parents Anna and Phillip Rohr, and siblings Phillip, Sr. Katherine, and Thomas.

Lou is a proud alumnus of Holy Spirit High School in Atlantic City, The Wharton School of Business, St. John's University, and New York University.

He worked for the Dept. of Agriculture until he enlisted in WWII and served in the South Pacific as a US Marine Corp. Sergeant. Upon discharge, he returned to the Dept. of Agriculture and attended night school.

In October 1954 Lou married Anna Rose French and began his accounting career with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. They lived in Franklin Square with their daughter Pati. In 1989 they moved to Naples at the urging of Anna's sister and brother-in-law, Flora and George McNamara.

Lou was the innovator and initiator of many improvements to the PA's accounting system including: authoring an account code system, computerization of the accounting manual, and streamlining processes to facilitate accounting complexities encountered during construction of the World Trade Center. Accustomed to attending night school, he spent evenings pursuing his great passion: the written word. He is the published author of five novels. He enjoyed writing letters to the Naples Daily News Editor. He often championed the Pro-Life Movement.

He was a parishioner of St. William's and a Member of Knights of Columbus.

Lou is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pati and Ken Krisch, nephew Joseph Rohr, and numerous Canadian nieces and nephews.

Wake 6-8PM January 6, at Fuller Funeral Home 1625 Pine Ridge Rd.

Funeral Mass 10AM January 7, at St. William's Church 601 Seagate Drive Naples followed by Internment at Naples Memorial Gardens.
