Rolland L. Egger Naples, FL 11/6/1929 to 08/5/2013

Rolland (Ron) Egger passed away in Naples, FL on August 5, 2013 after a short illness.

Ron was born in Lincoln, NE on November 6, 1929 to the late Elmer and Thelma (Bever) Egger. He graduated from the University of Nebraska and was a lifelong proud Husker fan. He was a 1st Lt. and a decorated veteran with the 936 Field Artillery Battalion in the Korean Conflict. Ron retired from Ford Motor Company after 25 years. His final position for Ford was in their Kansas City Office where he was the District Fleet and Leasing Manager.

Ron and his beloved wife of 54 years, Doris (Mewhirter), enjoyed boating and traveling. After retirement they moved to Naples.

Ron was preceded in death by his wife; and is survived by their three daughters, Nancy Kennedy (Dan) of Edmond, OK, Pamela Lamaster of Olathe, KS and Dianne Chambliss of Mesa, AZ; seven grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.
