John Palmer Little

Naples, FL

John Palmer Little, 86, passed away on February 29th 2016 at the Naples AVOW Hospice, surrounded by his grandsons.

John was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Little, in 2013. They were happily married for 62 years.

John was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and he and Barbara were both raised in Pelham Manor, NY. Formerly of Bethesda MD, they retired to the Naples area for the last 21 years.

John was a Yale graduate, who had a very successful career in advertising and public relations. He spent 22 years in the NYC office of J Walter Thompson, where he supervised the Pan Am ("the worlds most experienced airline") and RCA accounts. John finished his career with the American Council of Life Insurance (ACLI) as the head of all advertising and public relations.

John was an avid tennis and golf player. On the Yale baseball team, he was known for his winning curve ball. In recent years, John enjoyed playing golf with his Bonita Bay friends. Most importantly he will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Surviving family include son John Newsom Little and his wife Mary Arnold Little; grandson Mark Andrew Little and grandson Brian Newsom Little and his wife Kayla Jennifer Little, and great-granddaughter Emma Melissa Little.

John was predeceased by his parents, Edward Stephen Little, Sr. and Edele Palmer Little, and his sister Nancy Perry of Houston Texas and Edward Stephen Little Jr. of Fort Myers, FL.

A tribute and celebration of his life will be held at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY at the family plot.
