Loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister; 80

TOWNSEND -- Clarice F. (Burwell) Zador, 80, of Townsend, died Sunday, March 3, 2013, at the University of Massachusetts Hospital in Worcester.

She is survived by her husband of over 45 years, Ivan Zador.

Mrs. Zador was born on May 27, 1932 in Waltham, a daughter of the late Jess and Philomena (Delisle) Burwell, and grew up in Waltham where she attended local schools. She went on to graduate from the Melrose School of Nursing in 1956, and began a lifelong career as a nurse.

Mrs. Zador was employed at the Childrens Extended Care Center in Groton for over 14 years. She assisted at many local nursing and healthcare facilities throughout her career. She has been a resident of Townsend for over 37 years.

Mrs. Zador truly loved everything to do with her profession. In her free time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, attending local flea markets with her husband, and especially the cherished time she spent with her grandchildren. She will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Besides her husband, Ivan, she is survived by two daughters, AmyBeth Gallagher and her husband, Stephen J. of New Ipswich, NH; Natalie Neely and her husband, Jeffery B. of Woodstock, CT; and a son, Carl Zador and his wife, Rebecca of Murrietta, CA; two brothers, Armand Burwell of Cape Cod, and Ralph Burwell of Washington; a brother-in-law Paul Fougere; two sisters-in-law, Ann Burwell and Aniko (Zador) Bekasi; six grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Richard Burwell, and her sister, Margaret Fougere.
