TOWNSEND -- Glenda (Soule) Homoliski, 60, of Townsend, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at her home, following a lengthy illness.

Mrs. Homoliski was born in Fitchburg, July 6, 1952, a daughter of the late Glendon A. and Beulah L. (Shaw) Soule, and was a lifelong resident of Townsend.

She was a 1970 graduate of North Middlesex Regional High School and then continued her education at Fitchburg State College, receiving her bachelor's degree in elementary education in 1974.

For nearly 30 years, Mrs. Homoliski operated a children's day care center, retiring in 2007. Many years ago, she worked as the produce manager at the supermarket located in Townsend.

She was an active member of the Townsend Congregational Church. She enjoyed her role as a member of the church choir and the Handbell Choir. She served as the chairperson of the building committee for the Fellowship Hall project. Glenda was accomplished at homemade crafts and had received awards in these efforts.

She leaves her husband of 37 years, Gary W. Homoliski; a son and daughter-in-law, Geoffrey A. and Deanna Homoliski of Holden; a daughter and son-in-law, Bethany E. and German Oseida of Framingham; three sisters, her twin sister, Wanda Wilson and Jean Sobol, both of Townsend, Sharon Barr of Springfield; and three grandchildren, Joel Homoliski, Alexa Oseida, and Molly Homoliski.

HOMOLISKI -- A memorial service will be held 5 P.M., Monday at Townsend Congregational Church, 3 Brookline Street, Townsend. Burial will be private. Calling hours are 4-7 p.m., Sunday at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte. 119), Townsend Center. Please see for additional information.
