Earl H. "Skip" Kinney Obituary
Earl H. "Skip" Kinney
of Pepperell, formerly of Chelmsford; 73

PEPPERELL, MA -- Earl H. "Skip" Kinney (73) of Pepperell, MA, born in Lowell, formerly of Chelmsford passed away peacefully March 13, 2014 at the Community Hospice House in Merrimack, NH surrounded by the love of his wife of 49 years and daughter.

Skip was born January 10, 1941 in Lowell. In his younger years he was an avid baseball and basketball player and graduated from Keith Academy in Lowell and went on to receive a degree in accounting. He married Geraldine P. Eaton of Chelmsford where they continued to live. Skip always worked hard and enjoyed his family, had a fondness for horses, which started with his father Earl C. Kinney as the family was involved in the training and driving of standardbred racehorses.

Skip and Geraldine had a daughter Kelli Ann, and they continued to reside in Chelmsford where they enjoyed their small horse farm. Skip worked at Prince Macaroni, was a plant manager at both Viva Foods and New England Milling Company and later was an entrepreneur of his own small businesses. His family moved to Pepperell where they built their new home and equestrian riding facility. He took great pride in supporting and watching his daughter ride and compete as an equestrian. He had a love for cars, especially his two street rods, which he restored and enjoyed. He was a racing fan and loved NASCAR, and a genuine sports enthusiast.

He leaves behind his wife Geraldine P. (Eaton) Kinney and his daughter Kelli Ann Kinney who continue to live in Pepperell on the family horse farm. He also leaves his mother Helen M. (Foley) Kinney of Port Charlotte, Florida, brother Gary C. Kinney and his wife Susan of Chelmsford, sister Doreen Kinney Brown and husband Mark of Brookline, NH, aunt Doris P. Foley of Hudson, NH, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Earl C. Kinney of Chelmsford.
