Bryce C. Brown

TOWNSEND -- Bryce Cameron Brown, 91, of Townsend, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his home.
He leaves his wife of 65 years, Priscilla (Gray) Brown; four sons, Barry C. Brown and Brad Brown, both of Townsend, Brent Brown of Maine, and Bryce James Brown of Ft. Pierce, FL. He also leaves seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
He was the brother of the late Kenneth Brown of Vermont, Malcolm Brown, Joyrce Brown, both of New York, and Kyril Brown of New Hampshire
Mr. Brown was born in Hampton, New York, July 1, 1921, a son of Raymond and Allie (Shaw) Brown, and has resided in Townsend for nearly 50 years.
For over four decades, Mr. Brown worked in the printing industry for several firms including Eusey Press and Laurier Press, both in Leominster and New England Business Service in Townsend. He retired in 1986. Previously, he owned and operated Brownie's Dairy Bar on Main Street in Townsend. During the 1950's, he worked at Aro's Chicken Farm in Townsend, and while living in Hampton, New York owned and operated "Just-a-Mere Farm."
During WWII, he served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Townsend VFW, and a former member of the Townsend Fire Department, and had served on the Townsend Water Commission.
BROWN -- Mr. Brown's family will receive family and friends from 3-5 p.m., Friday at the T.J. Anderson & Son Funeral Home, 250 Main Street (Rte. 119), Townsend Center. A time of sharing will be offered at 5 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to Nashoba Nursing & Hospice Service, 2 Shaker Road, Shirley, MA 01464.
