William "Bill" WILLIAMS

WILLIAMS, William "Bill"
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, William "Bill" Henry Williams of Moose Jaw. Bill was born in Nefyn, North Wales on June 14th, 1921 and left us days short of his 92nd birthday, when he was 'as old as his tongue and a little bit older than his teeth'. When Bill first came to Canada he was stationed at CFB Moose Jaw. Bill then began working in construction and was well known as a talented woodworker and carpenter. Bill married the love of his life Lorna Winnifred Heathfield in 1944. Bill was predeceased by his wife in 2001. Bill, the eldest of seven children, is survived by his sister Eileen Thomas of Nefyn, North Wales and his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bill is already deeply missed by his sons Ron (Norma Wallace) and Brent. His grandchildren Bryce (Trenna Brusky), Alexis (Evan Willoughby), Chad and Damon are celebrating the amazing memories they had with their grandpa; appreciating and accepting their grandpa's challenge to be the best they can be. Tate, Bill's great-grandchild, gets to look forward to enjoying the many stories of hilarity, support and service that Bill's family has to share about their well-respected father/grandpa. Bill has left behind many touched hearts as he is remembered for his enthusiasm and dedication to helping others and finding enjoyment in developing many friendships. Bill was a busy hardworking man, keeping active and excelling at everything he did: bowling, gardening, carpentry, playing cribbage, square and round dancing, church stewardship, volunteering, and singing. He loved being social and participated in many church, family and community events, and attended as many teas and gatherings as possible. Bill's unforgettable smile, precious "grandpa" accent, inspiring stories and generous soul will never be forgotten.
