June 26, 1931 - January 7, 2014
Passed away peacefully in the company of his family on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Nikitas, always a loving husband, father, and Papou, will be greatly missed by his wife of 56 years, Christina, his two sons and their wives, Gerry and Shelley and George and Myra, and his grandchildren Lexi, Lara, and Jason. His memory will also be cherished by his extended family members and many friends. Nikitas, along with his family, immigrated to Canada from Athens, Greece in 1951 where he came to know Montreal as his home. Through several different ventures, Nikitas demonstrated his truly hard-working character and established a strong foundation in the support of his family. Throughout his many years, when he wasn't spending his free time cheering passionately for his soccer team Panathinaikos, he took great pride in his unwavering ability to beat Gerry at backgammon and in spending time with George who was always there for lively chats about everything and anything. Although, without a doubt, his favorite thing to do was to spend time eating, talking, and laughing in the company of his family and especially his grandchildren who always brought a big smile to his face. Visitations and a funeral service will be held at the
