1962 - 2016
Died peacefully at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre on June 26, 2016. Loving son of Sydney and late Ola Shoom, husband to Jelena, stepfather of Mia, brother of Daniel (Janet) and Kevin (Chari), brother-in-law of Sasha and Ivana and uncle to Chenai, Farai, Nora, Nikola and Sofia, nephew of Ina and the late Sam Dorfman and cousin of Terry (Michael), Allan (Pam), Marlene (Mike) and Barb. A celebration of Greg's life will be held at 2 p.m., July 1, 2016 at the Mt Pleasant Cemetery Funeral Centre, 375 Mt. Pleasant Road. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation or the Sinai Health Foundation. For online condolences please visit

I mainly knew Greg through the radio hobby as an avid shortwave listener and an amateur radio operator and will miss his e-mails where he always supported my work. Sleep well, my friend.
