Hi, Pamela -- What a sad day -- it's hard to imagine Gene not just around the corner with a smile, a laugh, or a twinkle in his eye. Mom noticed the obituary this morning -- we both feel a deep sense of loss.
I have so many fond memories of times with you and Gene. You two were wonderful neighbors to Mom and Dad, and they treasured your friendship. I hadn't remembered that Dad and Gene were so close in age (both 90 this year, Dad born a bit earlier on September 2). Dad is also at Fort Rosecrans -- a gorgeous setting and fitting place for two men who so valued their service to the country.
Pamela, I hope you're health is good -- Mom and I extend our deepest condolences. Mickey Suozzo
