Obituary

Robert (Bob) Edmond Doriot departed this Earth on July 27, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Bob was born to Katharine Doriot (nee Bush) and Edmond Doriot on September 18, 1942. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke, VA and Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, VA in 1964. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army and served in Vietnam and Thailand for two years. He married Cora Jane Davis on June 3, 1966. They had a daughter and a son: Robin Barnes Doriot and Robert Edmond Doriot II. He worked in sales for Owens Illinois. He was the President and CEO of Vitro Packaging in Addison, TX and he...

Robert (Bob) Edmond Doriot departed this Earth on July 27, 2017 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.



Bob was born to Katharine Doriot (nee Bush) and Edmond Doriot on September 18, 1942. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke, VA and Virginia Polytechnic Institute in Blacksburg, VA in 1964. He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army and served in Vietnam and Thailand for two years. He married Cora Jane Davis on June 3, 1966. They had a daughter and a son: Robin Barnes Doriot and Robert Edmond Doriot II. He worked in sales for Owens Illinois. He was the President and CEO of Vitro Packaging in Addison, TX and he retired from Anchor Hocking in Tampa, Florida.



Left behind to cherish his memory are his daughter, Robin Barnes Doriot Raetzman (Alan); son, Dr. Robert Edmond Doriot II (Mary); one granddaughter, Margot Fielding Doriot of Kinderhook, New York; two sisters: Cathy Doriot Harris (Tom) from Boerne, TX and Suzanne Doriot from Austin, TX; one brother, John Doriot (Jeanne) from Evans, Georgia and his dear friend, and caregiver, Erin Small.



Final Arrangements are currently, pending. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society.
