Evelyn J. Morrison, 82, of Warwick, died Nov. 2, 2012 at home.
She was born July 5, 1930, in Boston to parents Allan B. Jones and Herma D. Palmer Jones.
She was married to John H. Morrison III.
Evelyn graduated from Wellesley College and was a graduate of the University of Washington
. She earned her doctorate from the University of Wyoming .
She was a computer programmer with IBM in Sterling Forest. She was a member of the Warwick Historical Society, a member of the board of directors of the Orange County Trust Co., served on the board of directors of Emergency Housing in Middletown and was a donor for the Morrison Lab School at SUNY Orange.
She was a lifetime Christian Scientist.
Survivors include her husband, John H. Morrison, of Warwick; two sons, John H. Morrison IV and his wife, Thanh Nguyen, of Houston and Robert W. Morrison of Boston; a daughter, Dee Morrison Huntington and her husband, Don, of Denver; three grandchildren, Daniel, Jonathan and Rebecca Huntington; and a sister, Agnes Curtis of California.
Funeral arrangements were private.
