Catherine Elizabeth PeQueen

Catherine Elizabeth PeQueen, 80, of the Town of Newburgh, died Sept. 22, 2012.

She was born to parents Mary and Richards Betts.

Cathy was a member of St. Patrick's parish in Newburgh, Catholic Daughters of America Court Patricia and Kiros Outside No. 5 and the Tres Dias community.

She grew up in Elizabeth, N.J., where she met and married her husband of 52 years, James PeQueen Sr.

Survivors include a daughter, Lisa O'Reilly and her husband, Brendan, Marlboro; a son, James PeQueen and his wife, Lori, of Toms River, N.J.; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Eilish and Mary Colleen O'Reilly and Lyndsey PeQueen and James PeQueen III; two nieces, Debbie and her husband, Norris, and Dottie and her husband, Ed, of Texas ; two nephews, Daniel and his wife, Barbara, and Michael Jr., all of Florida; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Paul and Connie PeQueen.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James PeQueen Sr.; a son, Jeffrey; and two brothers, Richard and Michael.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, at Brooks Funeral Home, 481 Gidney Ave., in Newburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at St. Patrick's Church in Newburgh. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in New Windsor.
