Kathleen T. (McCarroll) Vilord, 95, formerly of Tuxedo and Suffern, died Feb. 13, 2013.
She was born Jan. 28, 1918, in New York City to parents Hannah & Randall McCarroll, according to Scarr Funeral Home, which handled his funeral arrangements and published her obituary.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Leo J. Vilord; a daughter, Patricia Tirpak MacDonald and her husband, Donald; two sons, Randall Vilord and his wife, Mimi, and Paul Vilord and his wife, Laurie; nine grandchildren, Eileen MacDonald Hazard and her husband, John, John MacDonald, Jennifer Vilord Hazard and her husband, Geoff, Jay Vilord and his wife, Karen, Matt Vilord and his wife, Heidi, Julie Vilord, Whitney Vilord, Kathleen Vilord and her husband, Todd Sholos, and Olivia Vilord; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her previous husband, John Tirpak; five sisters, Anna McCarroll Nugent, Margurite McCarroll Svec, Ruth McCarroll Nunaman, Veronica McCarroll Straut and Marion McCarroll Mottola; and four brothers, Evan McCarroll, Raymond McCarroll, Edwin McCarroll and Randall (Buddy) McCarroll.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Feb. 18 at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern.
