Darla McGavin, of Tunkhannock, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at Tyler Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Tunkhannock on June 27, 1947, daughter of the late Earl and Helene Clark Lane.
She is survived by her daughters: Sherry McGavin Popiwchak and husband Joe, and Denise McGavin Patton and husband Douglas; companion Allan Perez; sisters: Sonja Rau, Colleen Anderson, and Pat Ayers; grandchildren: Katie Hunting, Zackery Patton and Joey Popiwchak; and great granddaughter, Chloe Rose Merrifield.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home, Inc., 73 West Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with Pastor Peter F. Geschwindner from the Tunkhannock United Methodist Church officiating.
Interment will be held in Sunnyside Cemetery Tunkhannock.
