Janet Trauger(1922 - 2014)

Janet Trauger of Lake Winola died on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in the Golden Living Center in Tunkhannock.
She was born Falls Twp., Wyoming County, on July 19, 1922, daughter of the late Morris and Mildred Sives Swartwood.
Janet was a graduate of Falls-Overfield High School. Prior to her retirement she was employed for 40 years as a press operator for Northeast Envelope Co. in Old Forge. She was member of the Osterhout Bible Church and was very faithful to her religion and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Janet loved gardening and working with her flowers. She was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Preceding her in death was her husband Warren Trauger who died in September of 1965; son-in-law Walter Jeffrey Stage; brothers: Maxwell and Morris "Wendell" Swartwood; and sisters Romayne Veety, Esther Jones, and Regina Stephens.
Surviving is a son Warren Trauger of Tunkhannock; daughter Gail Stage of Lake Winola; brother Kempton Swartwood of Phoenix, Ariz.; sister Beulah Klipple of Milwaukee; grandchildren: Lisa Anderjack and husband Mike, Michelle Butash and husband Jeff, and Jeff and wife Heather; great grandchildren: Lucas, Brett and Blake Stage, Samantha Anderjack, Mason and Ava Butash; numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Saturday afternoon, May 24, from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with Pastor Brian Williams of the Osterhout Bible Church.
Interment in the Lake Winola Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the nurses, aides, and other workers at the Golden Living Personal Care Home and the Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care of our mother.
