Mary Rojek Toth, 92, died on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at the Lackawanna health and Rehab Center in Sturges.
Born in Olyphant on July 1, 2920, daughter of the late Andrew and Antoinette Rojek, Mary attended Olyphant public schools and was a member of the St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant.
She was a kind, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mary enjoyed bingo, playing cards, knitting, crocheting and quilting. She also loved to play the piano and the harmonica. Mary could often be heard singing to her fellow roommates. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center for the wonderful care that was given to Mary over the past years.
Mary is survived by a son, Edward Toth and wife Susan of Lake Winola; two granddaughters, Kimberly Pineda and husband Frank of Miami, Fla., and Michelle Zlonkowski of Lake Winola; three great-grandchildren, Britnee Zlonkowski of Lake Winola and Shane and Evan Pineda, Miami, Fla; a sister-in-law, Theresa Rojek of Olyphant; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by husband Edward and an infant sister, and also a sister, Sophia Barchak of Peckville; and two brothers, Edward and John Rojek, both of Olyphant.
A memorial service will be held at Holy Cross Parish in St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant, Friday, March 1, at 9:30 a.m. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements by Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Harrisburg.
